Tomtom Premium lifetime(!) maps expiring in 2030?

Why is my Tomtom Premium, that was bought with lifetime maps, is showing that the maps are expiring in 2030?
how can this be fixed?

no big deal in 2030 would ask Tomtom to extend the updates

That is not the point, when TomTom or any other company sells you a lifetime product it should be a lifetime product!
