Cannot install updates on my maps

The updates are identified via MyDrive Connect. Choosing update the maps and it gets into the updating device mode (keep your device connected and this app while updating). I can see the grey tick on the computer icon but nothing is happening. Please advise how to resolve the problem and update maps…

    Welcome to the community!
    We have activated a different map of Europe on your account. This map should get offered in smaller map regions/countries.

    Delete HOME3 Folder

    1. Disconnect the device from the computer.
    2. Exit/Quit MyDrive Connect from the notification area
    3. Delete HOME3 folder located at
    MacOS: Users\"Your username"\Library\Application Support\TomTom\
    Windows - C:\Users\"Your username"\AppData\Local\TomTom

    Update/install Smaller map-

    1. Remove the memory card and format it on a computer.
    2. Without inserting the memory card, connect the device and check for updates.
    3. Download a small map region/country that will fit easily on the internal memory.
    4. Disconnect the device and do a soft reset.
    5. Insert the memory card and format it when the device prompts.
    6. Connect the device to the computer and check for new map updates in MyDrive Connect.

    There are two maps versions of UK and ROI installed on your TomTom, v10.70 and v10.90(latest).

    Could you delete the HOME3 folder and try removing the older version?
    Delete HOME3 Folder
