17 plate boxer with Uconnect 5 inch Radio Nav. issue with map updates

so on the pc i buy the map update service. paid and got email receipt. did the download map bit stuck it in the van. got a map incompatible error.
came back to pc and still note top right "your maps are out of date" - i click on update my uconnect and nothing to update
- even though i bought the 12 month update service.
click on maps and it asks me again to pay another 50 od quid ..

cant find a contact for tomtom support hence posting here

Welcome to the community! Our team did some changes in the backend, could you check for map updates in TomTom HOME now?
