I need assistance in resetting my Via 135 device.

I believe that internet connectivity was interrupted while downloading a map update. I have followed the online instructions without success. When I switch on my device, I hear the Tom Tom drums and then a small Tom Tom device screen appears on my device screen with 2 arrows rotating clockwise. After a while the arrows stop rotating and then the screen goes blank. I cannot get a black screen with white text in order to reinstall the device software. I have tried a number of times.

Delete Mydrive connect with all Tomtom files on the computer, then reinstall Mydrive connect.0
