Why don't voices work any more?

Hi,
Trucker 6000.- Voices have recently stopped working.

Tried Factory reset, doesn’t solve the problem.

When connected to “My Drive Connect” (Lap top; USB cable; no cradle; Trucker) the voices work.
Digital & Recorded voices listed.
USB Doctor shows 5+v / 0.9a.

When in the vehicle (tom tom 12v adapter; same USB cable, cradle; Trucker) the voices don’t work.
Only Recorded voices listed.
Sound is on; mute isn’t; Volume slider is high.
USB Doctor shows 5+v / 0.9a.

Take Trucker back inside, connect to “My Drive Connect” (same setup), the voices work again.

Is my Trucker agoraphobic? Not a good thing for Sat Nav!

    Have you tried with Mydrive connect to remove the vocals and then reinstall them.

    Tried removing all voices then installing all voices.
    Tried removing all then installing one.
    No luck.

    Thanks anyway.

    Next step is to throw the device against a brick wall. Might not sort the problem, but I'd feel better.
