World Maps and LIfetime traffic

I seem to have the same problem as others on here in that my newly purchased GO 620 doesn't have the option to download maps outside of Europe despite it supposedly having access to World maps. Also, it's listed as only having 3 months of traffic data, when that should be lifetime.
Others seem to have posted here to get a fix - is this still the way to do it?

    My team has fixed the services for your TomTom, just do a soft reset and check for updates.
