constantly get "we are having trouble connecting to TomTom services"

To try and solve ...
I have reset my password
I have connected to a different wifi
I have factory reset my tomtom
I have tried to connect via tomtom connect (does not recognise the device)

it doesn't matter what I do, I cannot log in on my tomtom and i cannot connect to any live services

any suggestions?

    Does your password have any special characters like @, #, $ etc?
    If yes, could you try with a password that does not include such characters...

    Hi, there @VikramK - thanks for the response. There are no special characters in the password. However there is in my email address - could that be the cause? It worked for years with no issue.

    And I've now changed my email address, to no avail.
