TomTom Go Traffic service not available

in Devices using MyDrive Connect
The traffic services on my TomTom Go 50 are not working. They show as 'Activated' on the device but when you click on the car icon on the top of the display it says 'Service unavailable'. Can anyone help with this?

    To receive Tomtom traffic you must connect your GPS to your phone did you do it?

    Hi yes it is linked to my phone, thats not the issue. Its the TomTom Traffic services which are not working. thanks
