Received my Go Exclusive today, but any way of connecting to mydrive is not working

Connecting to wifi is possible, but without Internet connectivity (while all other devices have internet connectivity. Even with connection via cable to laptop does not make it possible to log in mydrive on the device.

    Welcome to the community!
    Updating the GO Exclusive is not supported using MyDrive Connect.

    Updating over the Wi-Fi® should work. Take the device outside under the open sky and let it find a GPS signal.
    Once done, bring the device within the WiFi® range and check for updates.

    But why is that not in the quick start guide???
