This happens if trying to remove a europe truck map from my TT.

You must not delete the map otherwise your GPS will no longer be able to work.
The best is to add an SD card of 16 to 32 GB maximum.

The new map must overwrite the old map already installed or add an SD.

The map should be offered to you in smaller regions/countries.
If you install a smaller map, possibly it will help speed up the device.

Does a factory reset help speed up the device?

Vikram, I have just done a factory reset, I will check it later.
I don't need a europe map at the moment, just a UK map. If I delete the europe map through my content, it states; do you want to permanently remove all maps? Is this just for the europe map or UK as well?
At the moment, I have 2084mb of free space.
