I am trying to connect my tom tom rider 400 to my new macbook pro M1

Whilst the tom tom is charging when plugged into my USBC adapter it wont connect through to mydrive to update and manage. I have installed the right mac drivers and followed all the steps online but the mydrive on my laptop keeps saying that the device is not connected,

Tomtom devices do not work with cables or adapters via USB-C, use the cable supplied with the device.

Hi, Thank you for your note but the mac doesnt have a USB port so i cant connect directly without using an adapter

I use adaptors similar to these on my slightly older MacBook. Don't know id there is any reason why they won't function on yours. You must not use a Hub.
