Using contacts with carplay

in TomTom GO Navigation app for iPhone
On the IPhone I can navigate using my contacts. It seems that this isn't possible in carplay mode.

    You can add contacts to your Siri Shortcuts then when in CarPlay mode you can just say Hey Siri Drive to Bill Smiths.

    I know, but it seems that I have to make a shortcut for every contact.

    TomTom claims: "make a navigationtsystem from your phone". They also advertising that you can clone it to your carplay screen, but that's not completly correct.

    Things I found so far missing on carplay:
    • Cannot make a wide right bar
    • Cannot use contacts
    • Quickly show your route on a map with traffic jams.
