Mac OS Bluetooth not connecting to Rider 550

in Devices using MyDrive Connect
My Rider 550 is connected via USB and Bluetooth at the OS level, however, MyDrive Connect Mac states the unit is not connected. What am I doing wrong?

    no point connecting the bluetooth
    connect to wifi and update without connecting computer

    And when I am riding? I want to use my phone and built-in headset to interact with my GPS... but thanks...
