I have a TomTom Start 20 Southern Africa edition GPS that I bought a few years ago. I have not been using because the charging cable was broken and couldn't find another one. Now I need to use it and it requires an update and need to pay R1289. This amount is more than what l paid for this device. When I bought the device from Makro, l was told that there are life time maps of Southern Africa. Please advise how I should go about this. To buy a new device is around R1500.

    Hi @irvinek2003
I reviewed the device subscriptions in the background, I don't see the device is factory embedded with lifetime maps.
If you bought the device with lifetime maps, then please contact our customer service. They might need some additional information before activating the services.

Also, have you tried looking for a new USB cable at a retail outlet our the online stores?

    Regards, Vikram
