The driver for my Start25 (serial no. BQxxxxxxxxx55) will not install on my Windows 7 desktop machine, and never has since I first bought the unit in 2017. I get an error message 'Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service'. But there is plenty of space on my hard drive and the computer has an i7 processor and 6 GB RAM. Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
It does not make sense - Windows XP on an old Laptop DOES happily install the driver and 'talk' to the Satnav. I have queried this before, but it was never followed up with a solution. Yet I keep getting emails from TomTom trying to sell me a new Satnav. No way if it might not talk to my desktop! Please help.

Sorry, thanks for responding, but I have already been down that road more than once, and it makes no difference whatsoever. Still the same error message0

Have you tried following this FAQ: https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013900240-Navigation-device-not-connecting-to-computer-MyDrive-Connect-
For earlier versions of Windows: https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013959799-Réinstallation-des-pilotes-du-GPS-pour-les-versions-Windows-plus-anciennes-MyDrive-Connect-0 -
OK, I tried the method suggested to directly install the Microsoft USB RNDIS driver, also tried the RNDIS6 driver. In both cases I still get the dreaded error messages "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service"
Not looking goodCrazy really - my old XP laptop has no problems at all. I'll continue to use it to update the Satnav, but when the time comes that it is no longer supported with up to date maps, then I'm afraid it'll be 'byebye' TomTom.
