Via 1500 won't finish loading anything?

For some reason my Via 1500 lost everything but when I try and re-install it gets about half way through updating the device and then stops. Just get a message "Something has gone wrong. Check your computer for more information". There is no further info. Does this for maps, voices gps fix etc. Have tried re-boots and everything else I can think of all to no avail. What else might work?

Welcome to the community! The error is caused when download packages are blocked when performing updates.
