Need help please, live chat seems to be going round in circles.
I bought a second hand 2012 Renault scenic with a built in TomTom. The TomTom doesn't seem to be working. When the car starts up the TomTom turns on but we get a yellow page with a red cross at the top. Beneath the cross is a white box (looks like a computer chip) with what looks like w1sMd 21b in it. I was wondering if I am doing something wrong or what I could do to get it to work.

It's going to be complicated if you don't have a backup of your map.
Only this image showing?
no image with a red cross?
if you insert the sd into the computer can you read the sd?
if you can't read the sd, you need to buy a new card.

If your device keeps rebooting in a loop, I'm afraid it's a hardware issue and you should consult your dealer.0 -
Hi @B3cky ,
welcome to the TomTom-Community
the Wismo 218 is the GSM/GPRS-Chip in the TomTom Carminat 2.0 Live, which is for the Mobile Internet-Connection via SIM-Card (Live-Services).

The pictures seems to be point to a malfunction Chip. I guess it is a Hardware-Failure. Call your Renault-garage. I'm afraid that they have to swap the whole InDash-Device.
