Can it be fixed?

Rather upset to find my TomTom device wont boot up. Even plugged into PC gets about 5 seconds into booting & then poof its off again. Has been unused for a while but the OLDER tomtom i bought this to replace still works.

Its an expensive paperweight now. No obvious way to replace battery to see if that would fix. Definately putting me off buying another TomTom.

    Hi @AnotherGrumpyOldMan

The power output from a PC's USB socket is not enough to run and charge the battery at the same time. If you have an Apple or similarPhone mains charger plug that will take the USB cable then charge the unit with that for at least 2 hours. Letting the battery get very low or flat is not recommended for the type of battery that is in the unit as is not recommended for phone batteries.
