Anyone able to solve why TomTom Home says my device is not connected when trying to update my maps. My computer is a Macbook Pro with an M1 chip. My device works ok on older Mac or windows. I find this most annoying. Strangely it updated the speed cameras ok, then said not enough memory. Bought an SD card, device says its formatted. But now saying not connected, yet powers up when plugged in.

Hi @sammylaggan
Welcome to the community!
RIDER 420s need MyDrive Connect software application for updating purpose.
The latest version of the software can be downloaded from here- https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/mydrive-connect/
TomTom HOME is compatible with 2nd generation of devices that fall under Nav2 category.
The RIDER 420 falls under the 4th generation of device that use MyDrive Connect.
Thanks,
Vikram.
