How can I update my Go500?

I've tried deleting various MyDrive folders, reinstalling MyDrive Connect (MDC) and factory reset the Go500 several times but all attempts to update my current map have failed - MDC says there are 4 new updates but only shows 3 available and the update process stalls after downloading the map. Please advise on what to try next!!!

check firewall or AV
if nothing helps try on a different computer with another ISP

Thanks fergussion. Unlikey to be due to firewall, AV or PC since it all worked fine until a recent update of MDC. Pretty clear where the problem lies, as found by numerous other users. So it's back to Google Maps and Android Auto until they sort it out.

It's a bug with Quickgpsfix that once install the file returns

once the update of this file download is good for 7 days.

same problem . Update on my laptop but dont send to gps

On Discover, update maps only via Wi-Fi GPS, connect to an AC charger.
