Does the app use the car GPS with Android Auto?

Does the app use the car GPS when connected with Android Auto or the phone GPS? If the phone GPS how does the phone get a satellite lock unless it's on the dashboard?

    Hi @tomtom_un14_03

    On my IPhone it uses the phones Location facility. I place the phone below the media unit in the middle of the car by the gear stick and there has been no issue.
