Unable to Update Start 52 with MyDrive Connect

Hello,

I am unable to connect my Start 52 device with my macbok, when I have it connected via USB it is still showing up as 'not connected'. I have followed all the instructions found on the various troubleshooting pages to no avail. I have updated my macbook's software, restarted my tom tom, tried to add the tom tom manually via the 'Network' section found in system preferences - I'm still having no luck.

I found a previous discussion from someone who faced the same issue as me, apparently the Start 52 cannot update with newer versions of macbooks which have the M1 chip. Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem? If not my TomTom is super ineffective as I cant update it with new routes?

    Have you tried using a different USB cable?

    Same problem.
    I can't use the USB with adapter on my MacBook.
    It says it in the instructions so not compatible with MacBook Pro 2021.
