Hello Support,
My TomTom Home account is [email protected] My map is corrupted. Could you please make the application and the original map available so I can repair my TomTom XL?

Welcome to the community! A map has been activated for your TomTom. Please remove the existing map first and then download a fresh version using TomTom HOME.

Hello and thanks for your quick response. I didn't mention that the map needed is for the USA.
I did see a european map in my home menu but that has disappeared now and the GPS is still in need of a USA map. Thanks for your help!

The map of the USA should now be offered as a download in TomTom HOME.

I'm getting the following message when attempting to update with the map:
If the image above isn't viewable it says:
Item was not valid after installation: United_States_2GB
Is this correctable?

That's probably a device specific issue related to the internal memory.
I would suggest a clean format and restore-

Thanks. After copying the files out for safety - I've formatted my TomTom XL per instructions above. Now when I repeat steps 4 and 5 as instructed I repeatedly get the following:

That helped. Now I'm getting an bit red X on the display when I unplug and reboot the TomTom XL. The Map installation evidently successful but something must still be missing?0

Thanks for your continued assistance. I'm getting a Red X when I start the GPS. The TomTom XL's folder tree is missing files - see image. The map did downloaded .0

Hello and thanks for your help thus far. I'm still missing the files that will make the TomTom XL boot and function. Can you activate those also on the installer? Since I formatted the unit it will need the rest of the files to function. Thanks.0
