Why is my Go Professional constantly shutting down?

I've had my device for 2 years, but recently it has started shutting down whilst driving and starting up again, which you can imagine is infuriating in the city center.
It does this about 4 to5 times a day.
I've tried everything except a "Reset". But I will lose all my saved places, etc.
I am willing to go ahead with it though if it stops the rebooting.
Also, will I be able to re-install my maps at no extra charge?

    Disable Mydrive synchronization on the device.
