Routed through block motorway

in TomTom GO Navigation app for Android™
My Go routed me through the A303 in the UK that had been completely blocked by an overturned truck 10 hours earlier. Maps showed the motorway as blocked but I was routed irrespective. And waited 90 minutes to get off the motorway. I though that Go used adaptive routing?

    It depends on settings (auto/manually/never) - so maybe You don't have it properly set for You
