Removing SIM from 5200

I put up an earlier post that Traffic wasn't working in my car but was over wifi. A suggestion was to remove the label from the underside of the unit, extract the sim, clean up any corrosion on the card contacts then replace card and label.

I've removed the label and I'd assumed I just pressed the simcard in for it to spring out.. There is no movement in it.

Am I missing a trick or has the sim card somehow corroded to the socket (not sure how as the unit has never been wet).

Is there a way around this ?

Just use fine pointed tweezers…. The SIM card doesn’t click & lock like the Micro SDHC Card….
