Device needs to be booked in for repair. Your website is terrible in terms of finding support easily.

    Hi @KenJeoffreys

There are no phone lines for Customer Support bu there is Chat and Email.

    Try the following:-

Tap Support at the top of this page
You then HAVE to Sign in Top Right of next Page. (you have to do this)
When signed in Tap Contact Us bottom right
Help Box appears and at the bottom is a message option
Type Contact or Chat in the box
If Chat is available you should be offered the chance to Tap Live Chat
If it is Out of Hours for Chat you should be offered an option to message

If it does not work exactly as described then try another Web Browser.

    Hello and welkome @KenJeoffreys

I am sorry to hear that. Before booking a repair, can you check by charging your device for 2 hours at home (and not only in the car)? Also check if the cable is not defective, (using another cable, phone one etc..) And does the device turn off also, when he is plugged to power?

    Regards,

    Jim

    Thanks Doug

    Have logged in
The contact us option is on bottom left, not right and clicking on it, just loops back to the discussions home page. Have tried multiple browsers. Please just send me an email address

    Hi Jim

Have tried charging on laptop, direct usb charger, multiple cables, etc. The device in car, connects via the bracket, not directly via usb, different usb cables make no difference. Device response is the same, no matter charging method.

    Hi @KenJeoffreys

Not possible to give you an email address. I am in the UK and tried the method I suggested with 3 browsers and all worked. Don't know if this is because you are in South Africa.

Why does TomTom bother marketing life time maps, speed cameras, etc. If they know the device has an end of life and TomTom won't bother supporting customers?

Where would I buy a battery from?

    Hi @KenJeoffreys

We can readily get batteries via EBay and the small tool kits that help in the process. There are also videos on YouTube that show how to change a battery on a GO5000
