How to update TT Telematics Pro 5250 Truck ?

Hello,
I own an TomTom Telematics PRO 5250 Webfleet ready. I do not use Webfleet. I had to buy this device when I was working with my truck for a transport company in Denmark. I have ended my collaboration with them 2 years ago, but I got stuck with this device and I wanted to Upgrade the maps because I have version Europe_Truck 986_8186.
Yesterday, I have purchased the following:
- Europe Truck - 1 year Map Update Service
- LIVE Services WORLD - 12 months

In my account the Payment status is CAPTURED and the Order status is IN PROGRESS. It is like that since yesterday.
When I bought the map I used the compatibility option and I saw that my device was compatible with the map. At the LIVE SERVICES purchase was no compatibility checking option.

On the Box that came with TomTom it say that has lifetime maps. I downloaded the latest map from Mobile Device Manager, extracted it on a fresh formatted SD Disk (exFAT, 32GB) and inserted it into my device. But the installment didn't start. Should it have started automatically or do I have to press any buttons.
In conclusion the TomTom staff is too busy and I have unanswered e-mails sent from 2 weeks ago.
I don't know how can I update my device, and nobody is replying to my e-mails. If it has Lifetime Maps, can I get a refund for my purchase of 143 GBP?

    If you unit was sold with lifetime maps then you should be able to get a refund.

    To do this I recommend that you connect to Customer Support via Chat

    There are no phone lines working since the start of of Covid.

    Try the following:-

    Tap Support at the top of this page
    You then HAVE to Sign in Top Right of next Page. (you have to do this)
    When signed in Tap Contact Us bottom right
    Help Box appears and at the bottom is a message option
    Type Contact in the box
    If Chat is available you should be offered the chance to Tap Live Chat
    If it is Out of Hours for Chat you should be offered an option to message


    If it does not work exactly as described then try another Web Browser.

    Thank you DougLap. I have managed to talk via chat with a person from TT and they initiated a refund.
    Now the question remains: How do I update my TT Telematics Pro 5250 Truck? I was told that Telematics terminals must be upgraded through 3rd party companies that work with TT. Is that True?

    Or, if it has lifetime maps, what am I doing wrong in MDC? Do I have to do anything else after I insert the SD in the device, or the installation of the map should start on its own?
