This week the cities and their environment on the parcours of the world championship cycling are a nightmare for traffic. It's crucial that correct traffic is given. Unfortunately that's not the case for Tomtom.
I've contacted Scelta, the official traffic info partner for the reason behind this.
The answer is that Google is the only allowing traffic info in such cases. Tomtom doesn't allow and/or make things way too complicated for even traffic info. It's a purely technical and no commercial reason for the lack of traffic info provided by Scelta.
That's not the only example. The Flemish government has a official database with all traffic signs. Unfortunately TT doesn't want to use it, with eg incorrect speed limits as result.
Why is Tomtom making it so hard to integrate correct traffic and/or refuses to use it?
