how do i update my tom tom 6200 using a laptop or a computer

    The GO6200 is designed so that you only need a PC to update in specific circumstances. Ie No Wifi, Slow Wifi or you have to run a recovery process.

    You should be able to update etc your unit by direct connection to your Wifi using the menu options in Settings but in the event of any of the above then the following applies.

    Start the Tomtom MyDrive Connect software on your PC and now connect the device. When the Software recognises the device a Splash screen appears saying do it the fast way. Ignore this message and now use the menu options on the GO6200 to manage the updating etc. The connection to the PC is only to facilitate connection to the Internet and TT’s Servers.
