hi guys,
i have just got my replacement but it is still rather slow in general, when you click on something, it can be bit slow to open and switching it on, it can take awhile too.
also when i was driving to my destination, the tomtom freezes for few minutes but after that it was ok, i have done a soft reset where you keep your power button till the drum rolls comes on then i let go the power button but still the the same.
i still have 3.7 gb free momery so it should run ok, i read somehwere that the tomtom will speed up if it has more space in the memory. right now i have got only 1 map which is europe and that is 8.6gb which is very big file. i was thinking if i could delete that and just download a smaller map but i dont think i can.
many thanks guys

Hi
I find the Wi-Fi devices are more stable and more responsive in general use when you 'Forget' the Wi-Fi connection....
Unless you're using a personal My-Fi Hotspot in the car for your data connection, the only other reason for a live Wi-Fi connection is for updating the device....
I always turn off (Forget) Wi-Fi by default and only login for updates....
It's no big deal for updates, you only have to enter your Wi-Fi password
Logout of your Wi-Fi....
(You can't actually log out, you can only 'Forget' the connection)
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Wi-Fi
Tap on your Connected Wi-Fi
Tap (Modify) Icon
Tap (Forget) Icon
Tap (^) Icon Screen top right
To verify the Wi-Fi is OFF Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) screen top right Wi-Fi logo with an 'X'
To Reconnect to Wi-Fi.... For Updating etc....
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Settings --> Wi-Fi
Tap on your chosen Wi-Fi
Enter your Wi-Fi Password
Tap Done
Tap Connect
