Mydrive iPhone app showing connection error

I have just purchased the new go expert and connected it to my iPhone via Bluetooth, the two are definitely paired.

However, when i try to open the mydrive app it says connection error despite my phone being a personal hotspot and connect to the device via Bluetooth.

Please can someone help me out?

    Welcome to the community!
    The GO Expert should connect to TomTom Services without the MyDrive app, just pairing the device with the phone (Bluetooth) should be enough.

    Are you using MyDrive app for a different reason, like planning a route?

    If that is the case, then I would recommend re-installation of the app?

    Thanks for the reply Vikram, yes I need the app for route planning. I have uninstalled and re-installed the app unpaired and repaired several times but it makes no difference
