clock wont reset whenever i put in the current time, it keeps going back to 12:00

This is caused by the Week Number Roll over of the satellites.

If the device is still supported by TomTom, there should be an update for it.
There used to be a patch (mainly for Rider models) that also works on other devices.
Unfortunately, I don't know if it would also work on your device.
Fix for rider Devices
Maybe its time for an other device or App?
