Suitable kit for hard-wiring 6" Discover

Two questions really:
  1. Is TomTom's (quite pricey) hard-wire installation kit suitable for a 6" Discover? I get the impression the Discovers are quite power hungry, and it would be good to know if the installation kit is up to it (they list compatible products as 'GO, GO 520, GO 5200, GO 620', although that could just be because they've not updated the page)
  2. Are there any suitable alternatives? Looking on Amazon, there are hard-wire kits in the £10-£20 range, but I'm also not sure if they'd be up to it. I guess the question I'm asking is, what are the power requirements of a Discover 6"?
Thanks!

Just to partly answer my own question, a bit more prodding around revealed that the Discovers need a hefty 2.4A supply.

Do the current range of TomTom charging accessories supply such a supply? Don't know.

    Hi @dmulv

The standard chargers are 1.5A but the chargers that come with the Discover units are higher and I think the cable is higher rated as well.
