Why does app access Photos without permission?

This app accesses your Photos without asking for permission.

There’s a section in the app called Drive to Photos (Menu > Search > Favorites > Photos) where all of your Photos show up INSIDE the app without user permission. Your ENTIRE Photo library shows up there, again, without even having asked for permission. App doesn’t even show up in Settings > Privacy as having asked.

This seems to me as being a clear violation of Apple Store policy, but I’m open to a sensible explanation.

    Hi @yayeko

Welcome to the Community! The app only uses coordinates in case a photo is geotagged in order to navigate to the location where a picture has been taken. On iOS14, the TomTom app only accesses the photo that you manually select to be used from a new iOS photo picker. So it looks like our app can see/access all your photos, but it can't. It just uses the one that you select to be used from a new iOS picker.
