GPRS disconnected - live traffic not working

I cannot get my TomTom 5200 to connect to GPRS and so the live traffic is not working unless connected to wifi or my phone. I've tried a soft reset by holding the button down, I've also tried doing the reset device option in the menu (twice).
I've tried contacting TomTom via 'contact us' and it didn't work, it just said 'please try again later' when i tried to send an email.
Does anyone have any other suggestions or is my device never going to work again (which would be rather disappointing for the price!) - I'm quite sure it would be out of warranty.

    Could you try few steps as below-

    1. Disconnect the device from the computer.
    2. Perform a factory reset- Main menu- Settings- System- Reset
    3. Log-in to MyDrive on the device- Main menu Settings- MyDrive
    4. Now connect the device to the computer and open MyDrive Connect.
    5. Check for any updates that are offered and download them. (see- this article)
    6. Once done, disconnect the device- Go to - Main menu- Settings- System- About

    What is the status for the subscription?
