download the old map tomtom

I updated and mistakenly loaded Central Europe instead of Western Europe (to get the UK). Before I updated, Western Europe wason my device.
TomTom support tells me that my device is no longer supported and won't help. Don't want to trash my faithful XXL - especially as I've just put a new battery in it!

PS: My bakup is corrupted and my device does not recognise it.

    I don't know how you did this, but THANKS! My problem is fixed!
    I love my old XXL. I did buy the latest TomTom all-singing and dancing model 18 months ago. But after using it for a week I threw it in the back of a drawer where it still rests. TomTom's latest offering is rubbish compared to the XXL. In my opinion.

    Good morning
    I just signed up ....
    I have a TomTom XXl classic ..... after a few years I tried to switch it on and update it with TomTom Home .. maybe I pressed something that I shouldn't have because my maps have been deleted .... could you kindly tell me how to restore them? ?

    @VikramK or @lampard the Forum Moderators should pick this up on Monday and check If the OLD Map version is still available on the servers, If 'Yes' they can allocate the Map to your A/C.....

    Hello, I am facing a similar issue with my old Tomtom Start Europe and with the Tomtom Home tool. After trying to update my map, I lost my europe map and my device had zero map remaining on it. When trying to download just zones of the Europe (I tried Europe Southern zone as well as Europe Central Zone) as suggested by TomTomHome given that my device doesn't have enough memory for the whole map, it downloads small files but isn't able to install them ('Item was not valid after installation') although my device is empty and has enough space for these zones.
    @VikramK , could it be a map reactivation issue?

    If you look on your computer, you should have backups of your GPS and all your maps.
