Rider 550 - losing signal & not reconnecting

Hi
I have a Rider 550 which I pair to my Samsung phone to give me live traffic updates.
When I set off, I make sure the 550 gets live traffic updates.

But quite often during a ride, the 550 loses connection to the phone, I stop getting live traffic updates, but it doesn't reconnect to the phone.

When I stop & check the phone, it has good signal, the only way I seem to be able to reconnect the 550 is to switch the phone's Bluetooth off & on again, or sometimes I have to switch the 550 off & on again.

Any ideas how to help?

    delete pairing on phone
    factory reset device and fresh pair again

    If i factory reset the Rider, i will lose everything i've loaded into it, is that right?

    Thanks, I tried this & it appears to have helped, going for a long ride tomorrow to test!
