Updating a Carminat TomTom for a 2013 Renault Scenic

I've never been able to update my Carminat TomTom. But now the differences between the roads and the old map are getting more noticeable. I've downloaded TomTom Home and found that I can buy a new map, but the system won't accept payment of any type. I get a rejection message for every card and for Paypal. It's not a problem with funds. Is it possible to update the map for such an old satnav?

    Try the following:-

    Tap Support at the top of this page
    Sign in Top Right of next Page. (you have to do this)
    When signed in Tap Contact Us bottom right
    Help Box appears and after a few seconds Get in Touch also appears
    Tap Get in Touch
    You are now offered Chat or Email. If Chat is closed, ie its not normal working hours Mon/Fri, it will tell you the hours that it will be available.

    Chat is busy you may have to try a few times.

    If it does not work exactly as described then try another Web Browser.

    Glad to help. Might be an idea to use the Chat function tomorrow as you may get a quicker resolution that way.

    If only there was one. All you get from TomTom is that idiot chatbot. Worst customer service I've ever come across.

    Thanks Doug, that works! I spent a couple of hours earlier this week trying to find a way to contact TomTom.

    Thanks for the help. TomTom have resolved the problem: you cannot pay for things using the Firefox browser (which is a bit of an oversight on TomTom's part); you have to switch to a different browser. Microsoft Edge did the trick.
