Every time I try to access actual support from TomTom, I get bounced to the 'discussions forum' which is absolutely useless to me.

Does TomTom actually offer any real support?

I was thinking of upgrading to a newer model TomTom but I am starting to believe I would be much better off converting to using an app on my phone.

    There have been no phone lines Customer Support since the start of the current crisis because so many are working from home. So to contact them via Chat or Email then:-

    Try the following:-

    Tap Support at the top of this page
    Sign in Top Right of next Page. (you have to do this)
    When signed in Tap Contact Us bottom right
    Help Box appears and after a few seconds Get in Touch also appears
    Tap Get in Touch
    You are now offered Chat or Email. If Chat is closed it will tell you the hours that it will be available.

    Chat is busy you may have to try a few times.

    Are there any questions we may be able to answer for you here.

    Thanks for reply, TomTom don't deserve you! ;)

    I will try your suggestion - it's hardly intuitive is it?

    Back in the 80's, I worked for a computer company that no longer exists.
    The tech existed then that when someone called my office line, it seamlessly diverted to my mobile. Are TomTom saying that 40 years on, that tech like that no longer exists or are they just to lazy to implement ?

    Nope it doesn't work, I select support, browser cycles through 3 pages and finishes up back where it started

    Arrggghh - i briefly got to support page without it redirecting.
    1. "Get in Touch" button has been removed
    2. Then tried send an email - and you guessed it - got redirected to forum!

    You haven't stated your location (Country)
    Just checked here in the UK using Firefox... The suggestions in link from my previous post for Chat & Email Both OK....

    Try clearing your Browser Cache and then 'Restart' your PC (NOT Turn it Off 'n' On again)....

    Just tried it here in the UK and got through to the Email and Chat options using both Safari and Firefox browsers. The chat live at 9am as it should. I would emphasis that when you first click on Support at the top of this page you must Log in Top right even if you were logged into the Forum pages and you ignore the Contact Us option bottom right until you have logged in.
