    Hi @Holty74
Welcome to the community! Your RIDER already has free map updates for the lifetime of the device (Western Europe).

Check for updates in TomTom HOME. See video below-

    Hi @VikramK
I have tried everything, it gave me loads of messages then said they can't be used on my TomTom did I want to remove.
they are still on satnav but when I try and switch to them I get an error message "you cannot use this map on this device: Western_Europe-102836"

    Hi @Holty74
This should get fixed by reinstalling a fresh map using TomTom HOME.

    1. Remove map

    2. Disconnect the device and reinstall TomTom HOME

This will require a clean uninstall so follow the detailed procedure from here- https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013901520

Download a fresh version of TomTom HOME

    3. Connect the device and download a fresh map offered as an update-

Thank you very much for your help,

I followed every step but still had no joy, so this time I followed the steps but also searched my PC for anything that came up with TomTom and deleted all of the folders as well.

This time when I reinstalled everything worked and I have my maps back.
    I couldn't thank you enough.
