Multiple accounts

Over time I seem to have created multiple TomTom accounts!! My GO 5200 is associated to/registered to an account e-mail address I no longer have access to. Is it possible to delete/close down that account and re-register the device to a TomTom account I do currently have access to?
If anyone can help, with perhaps an "idiots guide" to dealing with this problem it would be greatly appreciated - thanks.
