Traffic service not working + Lifetime speed cameras updates now require a subscription

So recently my traffic updates stopped working for some reason on my Go5200 wifi device.
I have checked my privacy settings and GPS signal and both are fine, I also reset my device to factory default but that didn't help either.
I'm also being asked to pay a subscription for speed cameras when I log into my account.. as far as I know, I bought it with a lifetime updates so not sure what is going on here :)
Is there something I am missing?

    Hi @1w4n

@VikramK or @lampard should pick this up tomorrow and check your units settings on the TT servers. Look back then to see what they have to say.

    Hi @1w4n

I don't see any issues with the subscriptions/services on your TomTom account. Have you tried the steps on our support article here- https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013958719

    Hi Vikram,
Yes I have done it multiple times now but still not getting the traffic updates.
I think the issue might be with my gprs signal. I have noticed that when I'm on WIFI traffic updates work OK. But when I switch it back to gprs they stop working.
Also under Settings-System-About section I get the following:
    Data connection:
    None
    GPRS Status:
    Disconnected
So I wonder if that the casue of my issue.
    Thanks
    I

I find on a Wi-Fi connected device like your GO 5200... If you have MyDrive Connect Auto-starting with your PC (Default) >> AND << your GO 5200 is connected to a USB port...
If you try to log into the MyDrive Menu on the device (Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> MyDrive) you get the error 'We are having trouble accessing TomTom services. Please try again later'
The USB Connection will have priority over the Wi-Fi connection....

On the Wi-Fi devices you need to log into MyDrive Menu with the device connected over Wi-Fi

If you need your Wi-Fi device connected to a power source then charge the device for at least 2Hrs… (Low Battery)
OR have the device plugged into a power supply (Preferably using something like a Smartphone Charger using the Tomtom USB lead)

Further to the above post.... The 3 Associated Data Connections that can have priority over the GPRS SIM Card....

ok so after a while and a bit of digging I came across this thread:
    https://discussions.tomtom.com/en/discussion/1120054/no-tomtom-traffic-gprs-on-tomtom-5200-known-issue

Cleaning the sim card did the trick and I have my GPRS signal and traffic updates back!

If your device is under warranty you should probably still consider getting in touch with support. Removing the SIM sticker voids the warranty

I had the same message pop up. Had to pay for speed camera’s according to the message.
When I purchased my Go Premium I expected this to be lifetime.
@VikramK Could You check this for me please? I already made the payment as I really count on the speed camera feature and don’t want to risk my driver’s license or hard earned money.

    @VikramK,

I followed the instructions but could not see any option but removing the device from my account. There is no option for cancelling any ongoing subscription.

Once you click on this link- https://www.tomtom.com/en_gb/account/details.html
You need to click on the subscriptions tab on the top, see the image below-

Note: If the image is not clear just right click on it and open in a new tab/window

    Thanks, Vikram
