How can I stop every update creating a HUGE cache on my PC?

Every time I do an update via a direct UB connection to my PC, my PC almost runs out of disc space. The last one cache created was almost 70GB!

    Hi
    @arc202
    Welcome to the site....
    The cache does not Auto delete... The MDC Cache is deleted Manually....
    At 9.13GB for the Full Europe Map... Each download soon mounts up

    With MyDrive Connect running...
    Click on the Cog Wheel Icon Screen top right
    Click on the Downloads Tab
    Empty download folder
    Save settings.... Simples :)

    No other software that I have (and believe me I have a lot) is so "badly behaved". I don't want to have to remember to clear the cache every time I do an update! My new Go Premium comes with "free" maps for about 50 countries/regions - 48 of these are totally useless to me! Get as far as I know, that is what MyDrive Connect is caching - in case I might need them! I class this as "smart ass software" that thinks it knows better than me.

    I want to tell it to (a) clear your cache automatically after and update and (b) NEVER download an update that I have never downloaded before. This is plain dumb behaviour.

    So - why not consider adding this behaviour to the product?

    Hi
    @arc202
    I think you maybe have the same problem as the users of a previous post, their devices appear to be downloading the WHOLE world Map series instead of only the Europe Map....

    Hi @arc202
    Under MyDrive Connect - Settings - Downloads
    could you untick the option that says-

    'Download updates on my computer'

    See image-

    After it's unticked and the setting are saved, please keep an eye on the data usage. Especially if you see unwanted downloads saved in the HOME3 folder.

    Thanks,
    Vikram.
