MyDrive app on the phone battery usage

Hello, it seems this MyDrive version has an issue with draining my phone's battery. I reinstalled it twice on 2 separate phones but on both phones the app causes the same issue.
As i do not need both the app, nor my Tomtom device 24/7 it would be very friendly to be able to just shut down the app and related services when not needed.

    When you have finished using the APP....
    Why can't you simply close it down using the normal method ???

    omg srry for the (very) late reply.
    because there is no such way of closing it down the regular way; it's services remain running in the background, draining my batteries.

    You haven't stated which smartphone you are using ??? Video...
    How to close open apps on the iPhone x, 11, 12 etc….
