Carminat memory card error

Hi, my carminat screen was repeatedly flashing between the egg timer and the TomTom logo so I took the memory card out and connected it to the computer. It starts to download the updates and when it gets to ‘install to card reader’ it says ‘not started because of earlier failures’ and a box saying ‘you have cancelled the process’ appears. I’ve tried several times and the same thing happens. Any ideas? My carminat sat nav is in a Renault Clio from 2010. I paid to upgrade the sat nav in 2019.

    Reinstall TomTom HOME- https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013901760

    Format and restore the memory card-

    Hi Vikram, thanks for your reply. I’ve just started to follow your instructions today but the memory card has been formatting for over an hour. Is that normal?

    I may be wrong but this could happen if the memory card is corrupted.

    Probably try using a branded, class 10 SD (Secure Digital) Carminat TomTom: up to 8GB card compatible to work with your Carminat.
