Hi, recently, when I use my Start 60 Sat Nav, it keeps lossing signal (I updated the device every time before travel), Do I need to update/upgrade the software of my device? Thanks.

Hi @mingcli
Welcome to the site....
Have you tried a Soft/Drum roll restart on the device ??? This restarts the devices Operating System afresh
RESETTING YOUR NAVIGATION DEVICE https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360013957499-Resetting-your-navigation-device
Charge the device for at least 2Hrs….
(Preferably using something like a Smartphone Charger using the Tomtom USB lead)
OR have the device plugged into a power supply while the device is restarting
Press and hold the on/off button until you hear a drum-roll sound then release the on/off button.
You won’t lose anything; it’s just like rebooting your PC
I use a Soft/drum-roll start after any upgrade large or small.
It’s also useful to keep in mind for sorting out most minor niggles....
Hi YFM,
As directed, I reset the device. Then I tried to get the first satellite fix outside my house at the driveway by going to a recent destination, it took me about 15 minutes to get the valid signal. I did not moved the car as it is raining heavily. I will test its connection to satellite to see if it is steady later. Thanks for your assistance. Stay safe!
Tested the device for serveral times at different days; it took a long time (about 15 minutes) to get a vilid GPS signal. Even got the signal, it still kept losing signal. It may be that I got a magnetic sat nav holder from ebay recently, is the poor signal reception irelated the use of this magnetic holder? Actually, I moved the device away from the magnetic holder, it does not help.

If possible, for the first Satellite fix, go outside with a clear view of the Sky
