I have now been downloading this update for my Rider 450, for 18 hours now. Can anyone advise how long this is going to take as this is now becoming ridiculous

    Hi @GBPRERider
There are too many pending downloads that are stuck due to connectivity.
    The Anti-virus/firewall blocking the connection.

More information provided under Case 3.1 in the article here.

    Regards, Vikram

It seems routine when I update my units that I get to 20% complete within a few minutes followed by a drip, drip, drip for the rest of the day.

I started my last big update during a spare moment mid afternoon and watched the drips until three next morning. The early promise based on a quick 20 odd percent was never full filled.

I seem to get caught every time and my 32Mbit/sec+ broadband is no help.

Thanks for this TIGER RIDER, but I am getting nowhere quickly with this, and Tomtom support is to date unhelpful with standard stock answers. My down load is stuck at "Content 245" and nothing more is happening in the cache to download any more
I am told it is firewall / AV, but it is not as TT has been given free access
This looks like it could be destined fory3wijxywgv23.png
the bin, and move to google maps

@GBPRERider can only suggest you take a deep breath and hit cancel. I'm guessing the thing skipped a beat, got a bit confused and started sulking. Its the old Dos three fingered salute time.

Might also be worth a Rider reset then start again.

GPPRERider can you provide an update on your situation? Did you manage to recover your Rider450?

I have the same problem. Neither the maps nor the software will update. I have exchanged countless emails with Tomtom ‘support’ (hahaha) which have been a complete waste of time and effort. I sent my device to a satnav repair company and they can’t update it either. They think it is a hardware issue and although they have a good relationship with Tomtom their emails haven’t been responded to. Is it possible to actually TALK to someone at Tomton, or are they too scared or incompetent to talk to their dissatisfied customers?
    Cheers. Tony.
