TOMTOM Pro 5250 does not connect

Hello,
I am trying to connect my TomTom Pro 5250 to my computer using the MyDrive Connect app. I have tried it on several computers, both Mac and Windows but it does not seem to pick up any signal. I want to update the map that is on there, I also bought a new SD card from TomTom but I cannot seem to get any connection. Can anyone tell me what else I could do?

It is an older model of 2014, does not have the Wifi option0 -

What size is the SD card? Try attaching the TT unit when the Software is open and working on the PC not before you start the Software. Try a Soft Reset and if that doesn't sort it then a Factory Reset of the unit Make sure you have checked the you My Places etc are stored in your account by going to the My Drive Website and logging in.
