The old TomTom 300 had an Automatic Sleep mode - if driving for 5 minutes and no turns it would automatically go to sleep...when you got with 2 miles of next turn - it would automatically wake up and give you your mew directions. When it was in sleep mode - all I had to do is touch screen to wake it up. This FANTASTIC - especially at night and you were on the interstate and next turn was 2oo miles away...Even in night mode the screen tires your eyes out win it is constantly on. I have 3-4 TomTom's since then and none offered this feature. I have VIA 1625 and Smart 25 now. Does either one of these offer this feature?? If not - which TomTom can I buy that does?? Thanks...my cataracts would appreciate it!!

Hi

Edit....
The Via 1625 is a NAV4 Device.... No such option
But you can adjust the Day and or Night screen brightness....
Tap 4Dot (.... Menu) --> Setting --> Appearance --> Display --> Brightness
________________________
The Start 25 (Is a low-end device) from the NAV3 range
Check if the option is available....
From the main menu
Tap (Settings)
Left Cursor Twice for next page
(If available) Tap (Battery Saving Icon)
Tap (Dim screen between instructions)
Tap Next
Follow onscreen prompts to exit
My early NAV3 Via120 live & GO 825 Live devices both have the....
'Dim screen between instructions' option....
Stay safe... ATB YFM2 -
Sounds like a winner to me..thanks0

Thanks...Dimming does not help the tired eyes (still have the glare in your eyes. If you drive all night long...the light tires you out...I loved the auto sleep mode function...oh well.
I guess I will try to send TomTom a note and encourage this function as it really is a safety issue... Will have to check other vendors to see if they have this function0 -
Hi
@dabumm2u
I used to have a slight problem with glare & reflections when the device was mounted on the windscreen....
I now have my Tomtom devices dashboard mounted....
I do not have a problem with glare from the device or reflections on the windscreen....
